Autumn smoke sticks
Autumn is my favourite season. I can feel the garden sigh deeply, its a happy sigh of contentment, for a the beautiful work its done. To celebrate the welcome of Autumn I made these beautiful smoke sticks with a heart of White Sage to invite the slowness of autumn, Garden Sage, Rosemary and Thyme to purify the air from bugs the cold weather start to bring, Lemon Balm to soothe and Calendula for Autumn sunshine and uplifting vibes.
Burning the delicious smoke from these will invite a sense of slower energy in your home, space and body. Each stick is made from home grown herbs from my garden: White Sage, Garden Sage, Rosemary, Thyme, Lemon Balm and Calendula. Each smoke stick comes with a sweet card on how to enjoy them best.
Burning a smoke stick will help to purify your space by bathing you in aromatic smoke, releasing negative ions and invoking a sense of calm. When the aromatic smoke releases negative ions, it assists in clearing the air of mould spores, pollen, bacteria, viruses and other unwanted airborne particles.
How to use your smoke stick: Light the end of your stick with a candle flame and once lit, gently blow the flames out. Carry your smoking stick with a ceramic vessel or shell underneath to catch the ash. With intention, wash the aromatic smoke around your head and body. Carry the smoking stick around your home into each room, carrying the intention of releasing bad energy.
Safety is paramount when burning a stick. Always ensure you have a ceramic dish or large shell under your smoking stick, and stub out fully after you have completed smudging, leaving it in a ceramic dish away from any flammable objects. Do not leave a smoking stick unattended. Ensure you have good air flow and fully open your home up after a session to release the smoke.
