My Story

"My intention is to connect physically and spiritually to the plant world so that I can nourish myself and others with its healing and peace." 

I'm Cushla and I was born and raised in the beautiful Hawke’s Bay, New Zealand. After years of wandering the world, I’m home, where I live with my daughter Olive, my partner Kelvyn, our dog Pfenn, and cat Stripes.

My path has been woven through many worlds — from studying Women’s Studies and Sociology, to working in advertising and publishing, to running my own beauty and home concept store. I spent over a decade as a professional natural makeup artist, before feeling a deeper pull back to the earth and nature.

Over the years, I’ve studied and practiced therapeutic massage, aromatherapy, herbal medicine, and holistic well-being. These learnings combined with a deep respect for the healing power of plants and my connection to nature — have shaped who I am today.
